King Abdullah II of Jordan is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on Saturday for a two-day state visit. The journey, undertaken at the invitation of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, is set to feature high-level, Crucial deliberations with both the Prime Minister and the President,
According to the Foreign Office (FO) statement released on Friday.
According to the FO, Saturday’s high-level visit reflects the “longstanding, fraternal Relations” between Islamabad and Amman.
It will serve to further strengthen the strategic direction of Pakistan–Jordan relations and place them on a higher trajectory, encompassing a comprehensive and broad-based partnership in the political, economic, and cultural spheres,” according to the statement. Also added, “During his visit … King Abdullah II … will hold important meetings with the president and the prime minister of Pakistan”.
“The visit of … King Abdullah II … will further consolidate the longstanding Pakistan–Jordan relationship and contribute to expanding the scope and spectrum of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries,” the statement decided.
In late October, during an official visit to Jordan, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir held a meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan, which was also attended by Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II.
According to the statement of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the King Abdullah II lauded the professionalism and contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards
Regional peace and stability. He expressed a desire to further strengthen defense collaboration between the two “Brotherly countries.” The Army Chief conveyed warm regards from the people, government, and military of Pakistan.
