Afghan Taliban Attack on Pakistan left at least 23 Pakistani soldiers martyred and 29 injured, while over 200 Afghan Taliban and affiliated terrorists were killed, according to an official ISPR statement released on Sunday. The attack took place overnight between October 11 and 12, 2025, targeting multiple areas along the western border.

Pakistan’s armed forces asserted their right to self-defense, decisively repelling the
assault, inflicting “heavy casualties on Taliban forces and affiliated khwarij,” and
destroying multiple Taliban locations. Precision fires, strikes, and physical raids were
directed against Taliban camps, posts, terrorist training facilities, and support
networks operating from Afghan territory. Specific groups targeted included elements
linked to Fitna-al-Khawarij, Fitna-al-Hindustan, and ISKP/Daesh

23 brave sons of Pakistan Martyred for our beloved country and 29 soldiers were injured
during overnight skirmishes, more than 200 taliban and affiliated terrorists were killed,
while the number of injured is higher.
The operations resulted in the physical capture of 21 hostile positions on the Afghan side,
rendering multiple terrorist training camps inoperative, and causing extensive
infrastructural damage to Taliban assets. Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering resolve to
protect its territorial integrity and stated it “will not tolerate the treacherous use of
Afghan soil for terrorism.”
Politics and Diplomatic Assertions:
• The ISPR concluded that the attack “vindicated Pakistan’s long-standing position
that the Taliban government is actively facilitating the terrorists
• Pakistan expressed concern that this “serious provocation” occurred during the
Afghan Taliban foreign minister’s visit to India, which Pakistan called the “biggest
sponsor of terrorism in the region.”
• Pakistan called on the Taliban government to take “immediate and verifiable
actions” to neutralize the terrorist groups operating from its territory.
• Pakistan asserted that if the Taliban government continues to sponsor terrorist
outfits, potentially “in cohorts with India,” Pakistan will continue to exercise its
right to defend its people by “persistently neutralising terror targets” until the
menace is completely eliminated.
