DI Khan Police Training Centre Attack left seven police personnel martyred and 13 others injured after a five-hour-long exchange of fire between law enforcement agencies and armed terrorists on Friday night. The incident occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district, where police successfully neutralized five attackers, including a suicide bomber.
A senior army officer and police constable were martyred in DI Khan during separate attacks and operation earlier this week.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said On Friday night, police had repulsed an attack on a police training centre in Dera Ismael Khan. At the time, official’s had said that at least three terrorists, including a suicide bomber were killed in retaliatory fire by police forces and on Saturday that at least Seven police personnel were martyred and thirteen were injured in last night’s attack on a police training centre in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismael Khan .
KPK Inspector General of police Zulfiqar Hameed commended the bravery of police officers and police constables, reaffirming the force’s commitment to eradicating terrorism. He announced compensation for the martyred and special reward for those who participated in the operation.
Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) and the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) revealed that KPK remained the most terrorism-affected province, recording 45 attacks, 54 deaths, and 49 injuries last month.
